An Important Update from Livingston Animal Hospital
After 62 years of caring for pets and families in the Livingston community, we are saddened to share that Livingston Animal Hospital will be closing its doors this fall. It has been an incredible privilege to be part of this community, and we are deeply grateful to the clients who have trusted us with the care of their beloved pets.
Due to longstanding challenges, including the impact of a devastating flood and reduced appointment volume, we have made the difficult decision to close the practice.
Our final day for veterinary appointments, medication refills, and food pickups will be Friday, November 13, 2026.
We know that transitioning your pet’s care can feel overwhelming, and our team is committed to making this process as smooth as possible.
Our team will remain available at Livingston Animal Hospital through Friday, November 13, 2026, to provide transition support, including:
- Transferring medical records
- Assisting with prescription transfers
- Helping clients schedule appointments with a new veterinary provider
- Answering questions about your pet’s transition of care

Requesting Medical Records
For quick access to basic medical information, including vaccination history, many records are also available through the PetDesk app.
To request a copy of your pet’s medical records, please email Livingston Animal Hospital at LivingstonAH@yourvetdoc.com.
Please allow 3–5 business days for digital copies to be sent by email.
Please allow up to one week for physical copies to be mailed or made available for pickup.
Information regarding how to request medical records after Livingston Animal Hospital has fully closed will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
Managing Prescriptions and Treatments
If your pet has an ongoing prescription, we encourage you to plan ahead for any medications or refills they may need during this transition. Please request any needed prescription refills by Friday, November 13, 2026.
Our team will also be available through Friday, November 13, 2026, to assist with prescription transfers as you transition your pet’s care to a new veterinary provider.
Continuing Your Pet’s Care
Medical records and continued veterinary care will also be available at our sister hospitals, Willowbrook Animal Clinic. Our team can assist you with transferring your pet’s records and helping you prepare for continued care after we are closed.
